Former Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, has praised Governor Ahmad Aliyu for adopting the leadership style of the late Premier of the defunct Northern Region, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Sardauna of Sokoto.
Bafarawa made this commendation during a condolence visit by Governor Aliyu, who came to mourn the passing of Bafarawa’s younger sister, Hajiya Tumba, and his aide, Yahaya Dada.
Bafarawa in a statement made available to newsmen by governor’s media aide, Abubakar Bawa, urged him to maintain this momentum.
The former governor praised Governor Aliyu for fostering peace and unity in Sokoto State, transforming its political landscape through inclusive governance.
Bafarawa assured Governor Aliyu of his continued support and assistance, recognizing the governor’s efforts in promoting stability and development in the state.
It’s worth noting that Bafarawa has been recognized as a respected leader in the Arewa region, with some youth groups endorsing him as a potential leader for the North due to his wisdom, skills, and commitment to peace and stability.
