The chairmanship aspirant for the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, in the FCT, under the platform of the Labour Party, Pharmacist Chilaka Sigmund, has promised that he would use the Jabi Lake located in the nation’s capital to generate electricity for residents of the council, if given the mandate.
Chilaka stated this on Saturday during a Manifesto Debates organised for chairmanship aspirants by the Labour Party, AMAC under the leadership of Comrade Ifeanyi Uzochukwu.
Other participants at the debate were former AMAC chairman, Princess Anazodo Awunor, Ifeanyichukwu Ajaegbu, Vaniah Agbon and Kingsley Okeke. They all spoke on how to make AMAC a better place.
The final debate was organised ahead of the forthcoming Labour Party primary elections in respect of the 2026 FCT councils polls.
