The Special Adviser to Kebbi State Governor on Politics and Power, Kabiru Sani Giant, has said he has no rift with his boss, Governor Nasir Idris, and thereby has no comment on his recent suspension from the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kebbi State. He spoke from France through a WhatsApp chat with our correspondent.
Recall that Giant was suspended by the party in letter signed by one Saidu Muhammad Kimba on behalf of APC chairman, stated that, the suspended aide went to Kebbi State Government House on February 8, 2025, with a live snake intimidating party dignitary which the party finds embarrassing hence the reason for the suspension.
He added that, Giant admitted during investigation that he committed the offence therefore the state working committee handed down the suspension pending further investigation into the matter.
The party also warned that failure to adhere to the suspension may lead to expulsion from the party as permitted by the party.
However, in his reaction, the suspended aide declined to answer further questions asked on whether he has rift with the governor but simply said he is watching events and they are in a position to know if he has any rift with Governor Idris.
Giant who played key role in the success of the present government has been in the eye of the storm since the truncation of an association he founded to promote President Tinubu and Governor Idris in Kebbi State.
The programme was rebranded to ‘We Stand With Kaura and Tinubu, and recently held mega rally in Birnin Kebbi to commend both leaders for developmental projects in the state.
