Jigawa Government donates operational vehicles to police

In a significant move to bolster security and enhance crime-fighting efforts, the Jigawa State Government has donated ten Toyota Hilux vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force.

Nine of the vehicles were handed over to the Jigawa State Police Commissioner, CP Muhammed Dahiru, while one vehicle was presented to Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Baba Haruna, Squadron Commander of the 35 Police Mobile Force, Dutse. This gesture reinforces the government’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property in the state.

During the official handover ceremony, the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bala Ibrahim, emphasized that this initiative aligns with the Governor Malam Umar Namadi administration’s priority of ensuring peace and stability throughout the State.

He stated, “It is our constitutional and moral responsibility to do whatever possible to secure the safety of lives and property of the citizens. Ensuring their safety is the fundamental essence of government.” the SSG said.

Responding, CP Muhammed Dahiru expressed gratitude to the state government and assured that the vehicles would be effectively utilized to strengthen security operations.

Jigawa State, known for its peaceful reputation, remains dedicated to supporting security agencies with the necessary resources to combat crime and ensure the safety of its residents.
