Kebbi NANNM hails Gov Idris over N75000 minimum wage

Following the recent and immediate implementation of N75,000 minimum wage for Kebbi workers, the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives,  NANNM, Kebbi State chapter, in their reaction commended Governor Nasir Idris for his kind gesture.

The state branch chairman of the association, Comrade Kilani Abdulwaliyu, described the swift implementation as unprecedented in the history of Kebbi successive governments in terms of wage implementations.

According to him, Governor dris remains the only governor in Kebbi near history who created something out of nothing to mean he met two existing minimum wages in the state,  not only poorly implemented, but are without tentative salary tables.

He said the governor bridged N18,000 minimum wage, 30,000 minimum wage and produced a remarkable N70,000 minimum wage beneficial to serving and retiring workers in the state.

“We at NANNM Kebbi state are at home with what the governor did. We therefore appreciate him, he has demonstrated commitment to welfare of our members who hitherto run to tertiary health facilities over poor pay”.

He assured the governor of his uunio’s resolve to get fleeing nurses and midwives return to the sstate’s service for effective and comprehensive health coverage.

The unionist urged nurses across the state to consistently man all the state health abodes as they have no excuses for poor productivity even as he warned against absenteeism or work abandonment which he said is detrimental to patients seeking health attention.

“Nurses and midwives in the state must be up and doing to appreciate the magnanimous gesture of governor Idris to serving and students nurses who smiles to banks courtesy of the minimum wage implementations “.
