A native of Kafanchan town in Kaduna State, identified as Yohanna Gambo, who lived at Pigba Sama village in Apo area of Abuja, the nation’s capital, was found dead in the early hours of Tuesday as he was said to have collapsed while performing his duty as a night watch.
According to a resident of the community, he saw the late Gambo sleeping close to his shop on Monday morning and was looking very sick.
He advised him to meet his people so that they can take him to the hospital, but to his own shock, he came out on Tuesday morning only to see the corpse of the same man lying along the road.
A woman who identified Gambo as her customer said he has been living without his family, but she knew he had a wife and children.
When sympathizer came out to see for themselves, a national identity card belonging to the man was found inside his pocket, and taken to the police station, to see if they would come and pick the corpse. They used leaves to cover the corpse.
But, later some of his relations were discovered and contacted who came and took the corpse off the road to make preparation for its movement to Kaduna State.
Some people who knew Gambo Yohanna very well said he was a mechanic.
