The Nigeria Forest Security Service, NFSS, FCT Command, on Wednesday, January 29, said it rescued one Mallam Adamu; a Fulani man who was kidnapped from Dogon Kurumi community in Tafa local government area of Niger State.
According to a report from the agency, the feat was recorded by the Bwari command of the NFSS in Abuja as part of its core mandates of securing the Nigerian forests.
According to the report: “The Nigeria Forest Security Service (NFSS) has achieved a significant success in their rescue efforts. On January 29, 2025, the NFSS Bwari Command successfully rescued Mallam Adamu, a Fulani native who was kidnapped from the Dogon Kurumi community in Tafa Local Government, Niger State.
“The rescue operation was led by Zonal Commander Audu of the NFSS FCT State Command. This achievement demonstrates the NFSS’s commitment to protecting lives and properties, particularly in Nigeria’s forests and rural areas.”
The NFSS is a security outfit established to detect and prevent crimes in Nigeria’s forests. Their objectives include promoting effective communication with the police and other security agencies, prompt reporting of suspicious activities, and protecting lives and properties.
