PDP hands over flag to Ughelli North candidate ahead of Delta council polls

Ahead of the July 13 council election in Delta State, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Barr. Kingsley Esiso, Tuesday presented the party flag to the Ughelli North PDP chairmanship candidate, Barrister Jaro Egbo.

Presenting the party flag to the chairmanship candidate and the 20 councilors, he said, Delta State is a PDP state, adding that in one year, there will be no opposition political party in the state.

According to him, since the timetable for the council election was released by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission, the opposition political parties in the state have ran into hiding.

“The opposition political parties in Delta State have since vanished since Delta State Independent Electoral Commission released the timetable for the council elections in the state, and if they dare resurface themselves, we will vanish them.

“Come July 13, 2024, by 1 pm all results for the the twenty-five council chairmen and councilors will be released and it will be PDP all the ways”.

Described the PDP chairmanship candidate Jaro Egbo as a man of wisdom and full of knowledge to pilot the affairs of the party in the council area.

“Jaro Egbo has the capability, ability, and wisdom to run Ughelli North Council Area and to deliver it to PDP ahead of 2027 general elections”.

While receiving those deflected from other political parties, he assured them that the PDP would give them equal treatment saying there would be no segregation between them and the old members.

Also speaking was the trio of Surveyor Terry Noah, Barr Festus Ovie Agas, and Barr Samuel Mariere who thanked the governor for giving Ughelli North a vital and energetic candidate.
