The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has vowed to sack President Bola Tinubu from Aso Rock and as take over all the states currently ruled by the All Progressives Congress, APC, in 2027.

The PDP National Vice Chairman in the South East zone of Nigeria, Chief Ali Odefa who stated this yesterday during the state party congress in Ebonyi, said his party has prepared to wrestle power out APC come next general elections in the country.

Odefa said the PDP-led by its National Chairman, Umar Damagum, has reconciled internal conflicts among the party leaders and stakeholders by unifying its members.

He advised the elected executives of the party in the state to channel their efforts towards solidifying the existing unity of the party faithful despite their diverse interests to take over the leadership of the country.

He observed that some party members have defected to the ruling APC as a result of hunger and assured them of an open-door policy while coming back, as he predicted an impending explosion awaiting the APC before the next two years.

According to him, any of the PDP defectors to APC who has good character has a chance of coming back to the PDP honourably before the 2027 elections.

“When PDP was in power, all of you know how much a bag of rice was. Somebody just told me that a bag of Abakaliki rice is now N73,000, which we used to buy for N22,000. All of us are feeling the pain, and that’s why Nigerians are yearning for change, and that change is what PDP is ready to offer.

“All we are doing now is to put our house in order and wait to answer the call of Nigerians. PDP is a party with a human face.

“When Goodluck Jonathan was the president of Nigeria, the likes of the current President (Bola Tinubu) and even the former President Muhammad Buhari protested and accused Jonathan of bad leadership style, and nothing happened, but if anyone tries it now, they are going to kill him.
