Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has presented cash donations and food items to selected victims as a symbolic flagged-off.
Senator Wamakko commended Governor Ahmed Aliyu for recording such remarkable achievements, adding that, that is what they have been yearning for before the election.
The former Sokoto governor and leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state later donated ten million Naira to the victims in addition to the already presented ones by the state government.
He also announced the donation of eight Toyota Hilux vehicles to the Divisional Police Officers in his constituency as part of measures to complement the government’s move tocheckmate the security problems in the state.
Some victims and also beneficiaries of the gesture Sulaiman S/Noma and Lami Tsalha, thanked the governor and the senator for the gesture and prayed to Allah to continue to help them.
The senator’s media aide, Bashar Abubakar, said the mini-event was held at the premises of the government house Sokoto and had in attendance many personalities including the head of securities service working in the state.
