Strategic Lecture Series: CP Special Intervention Squad visits Nigeria Police Academy

The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Special Intervention Squad (SIS), School Protection Squad, and Elections Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation, Abayomi Shogunle, on Thursday, was at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil in Kano State for the ongoing Strategic Lecture Series.

Shogunle was received by the Commandant of the Academy, AIG Patrick A. Atayero to share his vast wealth of experience, emphasizing the importance of wellness, discipline, and professional integrity in policing.

This was made known by the Police Public Relations Officer of the Academy, DSP Musa Isah Umar, in a release he issued on Thursday saying the session was interactive and enriching, aligning with the Commandant’s vision to prepare cadets with both operational readiness and sound moral judgment.

“As part of the ongoing Strategic Lecture Series, the guest lecturer delivered an insightful and inspiring lecture centered on mental, physical, and emotional health, while also addressing the dangers of illicit drug use among officers and in society.

“The Commissioner, a seasoned operational expert, scholar, and astute administrator, shared from his vast wealth of experience, emphasizing the importance of wellness, discipline, and professional integrity in policing”, Umar said.
