Sultan commends Sokoto governor for believing in his deputy

The spiritual leader of Nigeria’s Muslims, Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar 111 has praised Governor Ahmad Aliyu of Sokoto State for giving his deputy free hand to manage state affairs when he was away.

The Sultan believes this leadership style is worth emulating, as it showcases Governor Aliyu’s trust in his deputy’s ability to deliver results.

The Director Press to the Deputy Governor, Garba Muhammad in a statement said Sultan commends Governor Aliyu for believing in his deputy’s capabilities, highlighting the importance of teamwork in leadership.

Sultan Abubakar advised the state government to keep citizens informed about critical issues affecting them, which can help prevent unnecessary rumors and promote trust.

While acknowledging efforts to tackle insecurity, the Sultan called for more action, citing the negative impact of insecurity on socio-economic development.

As the 20th Sultan of Sokoto, Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar III holds significant influence as the spiritual leader of Nigeria’s Muslim community.

“His endorsement of Governor Aliyu’s leadership style carries weight, and his concerns about insecurity reflect the broader challenges facing the nation”, the statement added.
