Tragedy as Jigawa governor loses son 24 hours after mother’s death

Tragedy has yet befalling Jigawa State governor, Umar Namadi and his family following the shocking death of his 24-year-old son, Abdulwahab Umar Namadi, who died in a ghastly motor accident along Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road on Thursday just about 24 hours after the death of the governor’s mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar on Wednesday.

Death of Abdulwahab was announced on Thursday in a statement issued by the family, saying “To Allah belongs that which He has taken, and to Him belongs that which He has given, and everything has an appointed time with Him.

“With a heavy heart and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, Umar Namadi, Governor of Jigawa State, announces the passing of yet another member of his family; his dear son Abdulwahab Umar Namadi.

“He departed this world this afternoon (Thursday, December 26, 2024) as a result of a ghastly motor accident along Dutse-Kafin-Hausa Road”.

Remains of the late Abdulwahab has been laid to rest according to Islamic rite at Kafin Hausa town on the same day.

Recall that similar announcement was made the previous day letting the public know about the death of the governor’s mother.

“With deepest sorrow and sadness we announced the passing of governor’s dear mother Hajiya Maryam Namadi Umar. She departed this world in the early hours of Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

The governor and his family request prayers for the repose of their souls, and prayed that Allah, in His infinite mercy, grant them eternal rest in Jannah and provide comfort to the family during this difficult time.
