The Bauchi State Youth Parliament has raised an alarm over the disturbing trend of young people climbing communication masts across Bauchi to gain attention, impress political figures, or solicit financial favours.
Mr Muhammad Musa, Speaker of the Bauchi State Youth Parliament stated this in a chat with newsmen in Bauchi.
He expressed deep concern that this dangerous behaviour could severely impact the dignity and credibility of Nigerian youths.
“We are deeply disappointed and concerned about the recent trend of youths climbing communication masts in Bauchi.
“This behavior is not only reckless and life-threatening but also undermines the dignity and credibility of our young people.” Musa said.

The Speaker strongly condemned the act and called on relevant authorities, youth-led groups, and community leaders to intensify efforts in sensitising youths about the value of dignity, decency, and purposeful living.
According to him,the collective future of the nation hinges on the choices made by its young population today.
“Therefore, it is imperative to promote a positive image of Nigerian youths and empower them to fulfill their true potential without resorting to dangerous stunts for recognition or financial gain,” he said
He urged stakeholders to collaborate to discourage such hazardous acts and to foster a culture of discipline, self-worth, and purposeful engagement among young people.
