BIRS boss, Agema emphasizes synergy for revenue growth

Benue State Internal Revenue Service, BIRS, acting chairman, Emmanuel Agema, has emphasized the importance of synergy between organizations to support revenue generation for the state’s development.

He made this call while receiving a delegation from the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN at the Revenue House in Makurdi.

Agema in a statement by his media assistant, Jacintha Bernard, commended leadership of the association for their unwavering dedication and commitment to professionalism, urging the group to remain united and steadfast in their duties.

He equally assured them of his support and noted that mutual cooperation is essential for growth.

The CITN delegation, led by its President Sunday Odagba, said they visited the BIRS office to show their support for Agema’s leadership and achievements.

He commended Agema for his remarkable strides in revenue generation, citing unprecedented growth and improvement since he took office.

The CITN president specifically highlighted Agema’s initiative in organizing the first annual retreat for staff capacity building and his commitment to training professionals, which will undoubtedly enhance the state’s revenue profile.

The CITN president expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet with Agema, even on short notice, and advised him to remain committed to the assignment he has been given and prayed for God’s continued grace, strength and wisdom to enable him succeed.
