The Director General of Bauchi State Vigilante and Youth Empowerment Agency, Malam Umar Aliyu Shayi, has called for all-conventional and non-convictions security agencies in the state to put in more strategic efforts in fighting terrorism in the state.
The Director General/Permanent of the agency, made this known through his media aide, Abdullahi Idris, in Bauchi during New Year 2026 celebration.
He called on all stakeholders to continue with their support in the ability of Governor Bala Mohammad’s administration in putting good governance initiatives in place.
Meanwhile, according to the Director General, Governor Bala Mohammad has been supportive to all security agencies in the state in their respective efforts, intelligence and coordination in the fight against all forms of terrorism, bandits, cattle rustling, phone snatching among all criminal activities in the state.
Dr Umar Aliyu Shayi, however noted that Bauchi State has been rated under the administration of Governor Bala Mohammad as the best state in Nigeria in terms of peace and security of lives and properties across the state.
“As we celebrate this new year 2026, Dr Shayi wishes all men and officers in the agency happy new year celebrations”.
