Former Reps member alongside hundreds of supporters defects to APC in Kebbi

A former member of House of Representatives, Honourable Garba Musa Gulma,  has dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party,  PDP, in Kebbi State alongside hundreds of his followers in Kebbi.

The former federal lawmaker, who represented Argungu/Augie federal constituency from 2007 to 2015, said that no one prevailed on him to join the ruling party but rather he was attracted by the developmental pace of Governor Nasir Idris.

He said after careful assessment and wider consultation with his followers, he decided to join in the development and progress of his state Kebbi.

“I watched closely the way and manner the governor is running the state with compassion hence my reasons to join the train to contribute my quota”.

He explained that, he has no problem with his former party, PDP, because he won his election under it but his desire to lend a helping hand to the successes of Idris-led government drew him to the party.

Engineer Garba added that even his first election was the desire of his people to serve them which he did and now too same followers endorsed his defection to APC.

Musa stated that the new party pledged to carry him and his followers along and be treated like the old members of APC without any discrimination.

While urging the governor to remain focused by continuing on the face of development in the state as dividends of democracy, he pledged to people of Kebbi state to join forces with the governor to take Kebbi to the next level of development and progress.
