Group condemns attempt to discredit FUSHO vice chancellor, Prof. Ujah

Group known as Concerned Benue Youths, CBY, has condemned what they described as desperate attempts by a faceless group out to discredit as well as malign the personality of the vice chancellor of Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo, FUSHO, Prof Innocent Ujah over trump up charges, describing such allegations as political.

Making the condemnation during a media briefing held weekend at Otukpo, leader of the group Daniel Atayi instead lauded the vision, astuteness and developmental strides of the vice chancellor,who they equally noted with satisfaction has within a short period in office most importantly brought to an end the medical tourism that has affected the people over the years.

Other members of CBY, whose concerns were registered through display of placards during the briefing with different inscriptions such as, ‘FUSHO is for world class students’ ‘Innocent Ujah must stay to finish his excellent work’ ‘Zone C Youths Won’t Allow Politics Obstruct FUSHO’ amongst others called for unalloyed support for the vice chancellor to succeed.

The group described Prof Ujah as a world class obstetrics and gynecologist whose over 40 years of experience should be an asset to the entire country and enjoined the public especially well-meaning sons and daughters of Idoma land to disregard the alleged politically orchestrated campaign of calumny.

On the recent protest against the vice chancellor by what the group described as few aggrieved youths of Otukpo town,the Benue Concerned Youths, CBY, maintained after careful evaluation of the grievances,they were of the firm conviction that the Vice Chancellor of FUSHO was on the right path.

The group commended the leadership style of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia for initiating programmes both at the federal and state levels aimed at emancipating the people both social and economically.
