Journalists express shock over death of colleague in Abuja

Some Abuja-based journalists have expressed great shock over the death of their colleague, Mr. Anietie Iyoho who was reported dead on Tuesday.

The late Iyoho was former chairman of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Akwa Ibom State chapter, former Sports Editor of Nigerian Pilot Newspaper as well as media assistant to Senator Ita Enang.

It was reported that he passed away in his sleep.

According to his former colleague at Nigerian Pilot, Johnson Adeolu, “I saw Aniete last week at Finance bus stop, Wuye hale and hearty. I was dazed when a colleague Lekan Olaseinde broke the sad news to me this morning. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and God protect and strengthen the family he left behind”.

According to Mike Odiakose, “Anietie Iyoho, it is unbelievable. Not at noon. Goodnight great colleague”.
