The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), Kebbi State chapter on Wednesday joined thousands of lovers, admirers and well-wishers to celebrate the Nigerian First lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu who turned 65.
The Kebbi State President of NCWS, Hajiya Hadiza Muhammed Kola, in a happy birthday message signed by her described Senator Remi Tinubu as mother of the nation who is championing the cause of women, orphans and the vulnerable across the country.
“We celebrate you today as you turned in new leaf in your blessed and compassionate life of enduring humanitarian services to women in the country. We congratulate you deeply”
She noted that her programmes are positively impacting Nigerian women and are promoting grassroots economy through several empowerments which include cash grants to petty traders, social safety nets such as home-gardening supports, which has created thousands of jobs for women in the country.
Kola explained that Nigerian women should support Senator Remi Tinubu in her efforts to turn around the fortunes of women in terms of building their capacity to contribute to national growth and development.
“We also appreciate her push for gender balance in Nigeria’s political space which is critical to women economic emancipation”, she added.
