Sokoto clergy urges Muslims to always remember the Day of Judgement

Chairman Council of Imam of the Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah, JIBWIS, in Sokoto State, Abubakr Usman Mabera, has  reminded Muslims to always remember the Day of Judgement in all their dealings.

He made the call in a sermon during the commissioning of a new Jumu’at Mosque at Tafarki Road, Mabera, Sokoto, where he called on Muslims to fear Allah at all time also charged them to love one another.

He reminded them of the obligation of Islam, hence the need to repent and seek Allah’s forgiveness.

The Imam later led two units of raka’at prayer as required by Islam.

Shortly after the prayer, the Sultan of Sokoto represented by the District Head of Gagi, Sani Umar Jabbi, presided over the turbaning of the Chief Imam of the new worship centre, Zunnuraini Jumu’at Mosque, Mallam Aliyu Muhammad and his three deputies.

In his remarks, APC leader in the state, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, expressed delight in the development and prayed for all those who contributed to the success of the mosque.

Speaking, Sole Administrator of Sokoto South, Alhaji Ibrahim Dan Yaro, congratulated the proprietor of the mosque and called on them to safeguard the place for its sustenance.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Yusuf Kaura Maishafi represented by Alhaji Isah Sahabi Bankanu applauded the commitment of the group to the realization of their dream.

The occasion had in attendance the state Deputy Governor Idris Mohammed Gobir, Ambassador Sahabi Isah Gada, politicians, ulamas, and traditional leaders among many Muslims.

Zunnurain Jumu’at Mosque is located on Tarfaki Road, Mabera Sokoto is under the umbrella of the Izala Group With Headquarters in Jos, Plateau state.
