The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has gone on recess in the declaration of Edo State governorship election results after it announced that two local government area collation officers had not arrived the collation centre in Benin City, the state capital.
The state collation officer thereby moved that the announcement of results should be put on hold till 5pm when the expected local government collation officers would have arrived with their results.
Meanwhile, some of the local government by local government results already announced indicated that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is already cruising home to victory.
